Master of Science - International Business Management and Accountancy (Applied)
Teesside University
What you will study
MSc International Business Management and Accountancy (Applied) equips students with skills in management and enterprise combined with the study of accounting and finance, financial crime, and the global economy and financial markets. The programme is designed for those seeking careers in the financial services sector, including roles in economics, accounting, and management across both commercial and public sectors. The course establishes clear links between theory and practice, placing relevant management techniques and themes within an international context. Students develop specialist knowledge of the global economy, financial reporting requirements, and financial management in a global marketplace, alongside an understanding of how to detect and prevent financial crime. The programme supports progression into higher-level business management careers by enhancing employability skills and providing UK-based experience. Students focus on global decision-making in operations and finance, global economics, and cultural issues in international management. A work-based module in the second year enables students to apply their knowledge in a UK-based organisation and gain valuable professional experience. The programme concludes with a dissertation, involving a major international business project. It is particularly suited to students from business or related disciplines who are aiming for management careers but do not yet have significant management experience.
