Bachelor of Arts - Musical Theatre

Bishop's University

What you will study

The Department of Music at Bishop’s University offers a wide selection of courses that provide both a general introduction to the study of music and pathways leading to a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honours, Major, or Minor options in Music. Students may choose between the Music Performance (MPE) program and the Music and Culture (MCU) program. The interdisciplinary Bachelor of Arts in Arts Administration with a Music Concentration is a popular option, while the new Concentration in Music Theatre brings together the disciplines of Drama and Music in an engaging collaborative program. The Department also welcomes students from across the university to explore a variety of courses designed for those with little or no prior background in music.

All programs within the Department of Music are designed with exceptional flexibility, allowing students to pursue other areas of interest across the Bishop’s campus and to shape a personalized degree pathway. Many students choose to combine their study of Music with another discipline—such as Drama, History, Languages, Sciences, Psychology, or Business—reflecting the department’s encouragement of interdisciplinary exploration and creativity.
