Program Description Pharmaceutical science takes a multidisciplinary approach to studying medicines. This Teesside University course gives students a strong base in chemistry, biochemistry and biological science, preparing them for work in the pharmaceutical industry.
Students can complete an optional work placement year as part of this degree course at no extra cost.
Students develop an understanding of the physicochemical and biological principles that underpin the design, function, synthesis, analysis and delivery of pharmaceutical substances. Throughout this course Teesside also helps students develop the technical, practical and professional skills that employers value, and they have access to state-of-the-art laboratories and equipment for laboratory training.
