Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) - Politics and International Relations - International Relations and Globalisation

International Relations and Globalisation is a specialised research area within the Politics and International Relations postgraduate research programmes (PhD). It has particular strengths in areas such as international theory, the history of international thought, territorial politics, and European and international security.

The programme offers supervision across a wide range of topics reflecting the breadth of contemporary global issues. These include areas such as globalisation, international security, human rights, political economy, climate and environmental politics, humanitarian intervention, international law, and identity politics, as well as region-specific studies including Africa and Europe. Additional areas of focus include global justice, terrorism, intercultural communication, and the history of international political thought.
