What you will study

The Nursing (Adult) programme at Derby is designed to provide students with the skills, knowledge, and experience required to become compassionate, competent, and confident adult nurses. Approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), the course adheres to the NMC's Future Nurse: Standards of Proficiency for Registered Nurses, ensuring that graduates are fully equipped to meet the demands of the profession.

Graduates of the programme will be eligible to apply for NMC registration, allowing them to practice as registered adult nurses. The course is available for study at Derby campus (Kedleston Road site) or the Chesterfield site, with intakes in January or September.
