Murray State University
The program offers a four-year pre-professional bachelor’s degree in communication disorders for students who wish to pursue graduate study in speech language pathology or audiology. Students have the option to earn either a Bachelor of Science or a Bachelor of Arts degree.
The undergraduate program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive education in general studies, human behavior, and communication sciences and disorders. The program includes courses that fulfill University Studies requirements and Communication Disorders Program requirements. While a minor is not mandatory for students majoring in Communication Disorders, they are encouraged to choose elective courses that align with their interests and enhance their understanding of human communicative behavior. It is recommended that students consult with their advisor when selecting elective courses. Additionally, students should be aware that admission to speech-language pathology programs nationwide is highly competitive. Any academic concerns should be addressed promptly with the student’s advisor.
