Postgraduate Certificate in General Primary Inclusion SEND with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (5-11yrs) (F559)
University of Cumbria - Fusehill Street Campus, Carlisle
What you will study
This pathway, along with our General primary program, offers students specialist knowledge in working with children with SEND and inclusion. It prepares them for mainstream classrooms and equips them with skills to create inclusive learning. It can also lead to careers as a SENCo or specialist SEND teacher. Students explore how all pupils, including those with SEND, can be included in schools. They study theory, current policies like the Children and Families Act (2014) and SEND Code of Practice 0 to 25 (2015), plus practical experience and expert input. On this course, students will: • Develop personal interest through a specialist pathway.
• Receive strong support from academics on a student-focused program.
• Learn from an experienced, qualified team at the academic forefront.
• Benefit from small classes and a personal tutor.
• Access cutting-edge research on a newly updated course.
