What you will study

This program consists of a pathway program offered by StudyGroup at the International Study Centre for the University of Huddersfield followed by entry into a university program offered at the University of Huddersfield. In your international foundation year, you will study courses related to your intended field of study alongside English to develop and enhance your skills as a student. Advancement into your intended program depends upon the successful completion of the pathway program.

The International Foundation Year in Art, Media and Architecture will provide you the skills and tools necessary for success in an undergraduate degree in an array of fields such as design, media, journalism and even fashion design. During your time at the University of Huddersfield, you will study core subjects as well as optional subjects as media campaigns intentionally crafted for your chosen field of study. All of these skills will be key for future academic success at the University of Huddersfield

Options include popular music, experimental music, film music, world music, music analysis, and arranging, and you can choose to keep your music studies broad or to specialise as a composer, musicologist, or performer. You can also secure both short and year-long industry placements to enhance your prospects. This will equip you for a range of careers as a musician, whether performing, teaching, or writing music, or adopting a mixture of different roles.
