University of Nottingham - Medical School
The Sports and Exercise Medicine MSc at Nottingham offers the opportunity to specialize in the management of sports injuries and illnesses, explore the connection between exercise and health, and gain practical experience in the field.
Students will learn anatomy through prosecution in a dedicated dissection room, as well as surface anatomy and medical imaging. The program takes an evidence-based approach to sports injury management, covering both acute and chronic conditions, and delves into the public health aspects of physical activity.
Through placements at real sporting events at the University level and with professional teams, students will gain hands-on experience in both pitch-side and clinical settings. They will develop skills in immediate and acute care, learn to identify sports-related injuries and illnesses, and receive practical instruction from consultant Sports and Exercise Medicine doctors and physiotherapists.
Graduates of the program will have a solid understanding of the scientific principles behind sports and exercise medicine, as well as the practical skills necessary for a variety of careers in the field.
