Integrated Foundation - Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - Media Production

The BA (Hons) Media Production degree is designed to launch students into media careers by developing critically minded, innovative content creators capable of working across television, radio, podcasting, online, social media, and emerging platforms. With a strong industry focus, the programme equips students with the skills and adaptability needed to respond to the evolving demands of the media landscape. Supported by experienced, award-winning tutors with both academic and industry backgrounds, students learn technical and editorial approaches to storytelling, while benefiting from guest speakers, industry insights, and opportunities to build professional networks and gain practical experience through placements.

This four-year programme includes a foundation year for students who do not initially meet the entry requirements for a three-year degree, providing additional Level 3 study to support progression. Upon successful completion of the foundation year, students may also choose to transfer to related undergraduate media degree programmes. Through research-led teaching and hands-on experience in industry-standard television and radio studios, students develop skills in audio recording, video production, editing, and collaborative working, alongside learning how to generate and pitch ideas. The course also encourages awareness of sustainability and ethical considerations within the media industry.
