Overview
The world of Business Management is fast-moving and dynamic: Business organizations are facing unprecedented change and complex challenges both within the UK and globally. This demands that students who enter the business sector understand the dynamics of the business environment and how organizations operate in increasingly uncertain situations. The Business Management degree at Liverpool Hope University examines small to medium-sized enterprises to global multi-national companies – public, private, not-for-profit with a focus on business principles, organizational dynamics and management processes.
This in-depth degree gives students the opportunity to understand how businesses operate and the ethical and social impact they have on communities. An experienced, student-focused team will develop their understanding of this business context and develop the critical business skills and transferable skills that future employers will demand.
Information Technology is a rapidly changing and exciting subject. Organizations are increasingly relying on information technology to carry out key business functions. There is an explosion in the use of mobile devices to shop online and there is a high demand for skilled professionals who are able to effectively manage information systems. Well-designed software applications that are effective and usable is a crucial requirement for employers.
The degree is intellectually challenging and is taught by staff with a varied background and a diverse range of interests. Students' experience is enhanced by a rich curriculum that exposes them to multiple approaches to technological problems. Information Technology has a wide-reaching social impact, posing many ethical questions, and these issues are explored at various points during the degree.
