The University of Massachusetts offers Engineering Undeclared for those students who want to be an engineer but haven’t yet chosen a discipline.
The first-year curriculum for most engineering majors is very similar, which allows students some time before declaring. However, to be able to complete an engineering degree within 4 years, they should plan to declare their major as soon as possible (and no later than the third semester).
Engineers use their knowledge of math and science to solve problems. There are examples of engineering every day: buildings and highways, airplanes and appliances, computers and advanced medical technologies. Engineers strive to improve the earth’s environment and to determine the age of the universe.
The Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Undeclared at the University combines knowledge with practical, real-world experience. Graduates will work with expert faculty members who love to teach and are accomplished researchers.
