What you will study
In this Law (LLB) degree students will gain a detailed understanding of legal rules, their contexts and application, as well as developing transferable skills in communication, independent research, teamwork and public speaking.
London Metropolitan University's expert teaching team have numerous links to employers, professional bodies and international organisations. In addition, students will benefit from high-quality classroom teaching enhanced by an online learning environment, academic skills support, mentoring, and careers guidance including workshops, fairs and work placements. There’s also a lively programme of events and outside speakers organised through the Mansfield Law Society – the president of which is a Supreme Court judge.
To help students become familiar with the courtroom environment and hone their presentation skills, they’ll have access to a mock courtroom, complete with dock, witness box and public gallery. This excellent facility helped two of London Met's legal students to come an impressive fifth place out of 64 universities in the ESU National Mooting Competition 2012.
An International Bright Futures Scholarship in the amount of £3,000 will automatically be applied to eligible students with overseas fee status starting a degree with London Met in the 2024/25 academic year. This scholarship includes a tuition fee reduction for the duration of students' studies and is applicable to both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
Tuition Deposit is £4,000 for all students excluding those from Punjab and Haryana for whom the deposit amount will remain at 50%
