What you will study

Studying for a PhD in the area of quantum technologies and engineering will see students join the School as part of a successful team of researchers with a range of industrial partners and academic collaborators. Quantum technologies and engineering (QuTeE) focuses on modelling and control techniques to engineer quantum devices and processes. Cardiff University works on techniques to design, control and optimise the behaviour of quantum processes based on methods to model and simulate quantum systems, characterise their behaviour by parameter and model learning, and visualise and analyse measurement signals.
