Bachelor of Arts - Hispanic Studies

Bishop's University

What you will study

Spanish has been taught at Bishop’s University since 1982, and the curriculum has continued to expand over the years. All courses are conducted in Spanish and cover the areas of language, civilization and culture, linguistics, and literature. Third-year courses focusing on Spain and Spanish America are offered on an alternating, year-to-year basis.

The Hispanic Studies section strongly encourages students pursuing an Honours or Major in Hispanic Studies to spend a semester abroad in a Spanish-speaking country—such as Spain, Argentina, Chile, or Mexico—to gain valuable language immersion and cultural experience.
