Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - Early Childhood and Health and Wellbeing (CH01)

The undergraduate program in Early Childhood Studies provides a higher level of academic study that will extend students' knowledge and understanding of children in their early years. The Early Childhood team aims to provide a stimulating and supportive learning environment for all students through a high level of tutor support, access to exceptional University resources and engagement with Liverpool Hope University's multidisciplinary teaching team with wide experience in research, practice and policy in the field. Together with the vital ingredient of their commitment as a student, these elements will enrich their learning experience. The university also aims to enhance this where possible through engaging invited speakers and field visits to relevant spaces in Liverpool, a city rich in community connection and cultural experience. New government initiatives and policies are giving this greater priority than ever before. Health and Wellbeing is a vibrant, multidisciplinary degree in which students will explore a range of issues and debates relevant to health and wellbeing in contemporary society. The degree draws upon a range of disciplines, including sociology social policy and psychology to understand the key challenges to health and wellbeing in the 21st century. The degree provides students with the opportunity to develop practical skills, knowledge and insight into a range of issues relating to health and wellbeing in contemporary society. With its strong emphasis on social justice and welfare, students will be enabled to develop as critical social scientists who, as a graduate, will be able to use their skills and knowledge to the benefit of their local community and society more broadly.
