Accredited by the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments (CISI), the programme is aligned with the curricula of professional bodies such as the CFA Institute and CISI UK. It combines technical expertise with the development of key employability skills, supported by initiatives such as the Graduate+ programme.

An optional professional placement year is available between the second and third years of study, providing valuable industry experience. Students are responsible for securing their placement, supported by the university’s careers services and employer networks. Those who successfully obtain a placement can transfer to the placement version of the course.
