Sports isn’t all about the athletes, coaches and competition. It’s also about business. Every sport and athletic enterprise needs people with business skills so at ONU the sport management degree will be a business degree. At ONU, they’ll prepare students for a successful career in sport management. Their solid curriculum includes a core of 21 business-related courses on which to build a solid foundation of business knowledge needed to help sport organizations be successful in a multi-billion dollar industry. Additionally, sport management-specific courses in the major will give students real-world and practical hands-on learning opportunities and prepare them for the variety of environments they may find in their future career. With these experiences, students will learn to communicate, problem-solve, collaborate and lead. These skills are in demand in high school, collegiate and professional sports.
