Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Finance and Investment (NC28)

The BSc (Hons) Finance and Investment degree allows students to combine discipline-specific skills with a thorough understanding of the economic and financial challenges confronting contemporary society. They will learn how to analyze and discuss important aspects of the subject, including microeconomics, macroeconomics, financial markets and institutions, as well as digital, ethical, and sustainable finance. Students will also learn how to apply theoretical and empirical analysis to major economic and financial policy issues.

Throughout the course, economic and financial issues are closely intertwined, and students will be exposed to a combination of qualitative and quantitative skill-building tools. This degree will equip them with a variety of cognitive and employability skills, graduate qualities, and insights into the workplace, as well as opportunities to develop collaboration, leadership, organizational, presentation, and analytical abilities.

The university is one of the few in the UK offering direct access to Bloomberg data, information, and analytics in a dedicated trading room, where students can engage in trading simulations and asset management using dedicated Bloomberg terminals. This setup provides a simulation of what it is like to work on a real trading floor in the financial district.
