Overview

Students will start by building a strong base in C++ programming, with mathematics and physics for game development, as well as gaining skills in console hardware architecture and game design. As students progress through the degree they'll use different graphics libraries and engines to make 2D and 3D games.

Students will develop specialist skills in physical computing, virtual reality and artificial intelligence while becoming proficient in a range of relevant programming and scripting languages.

Each year, there are core modules on this course that enable artists and programmers to work together and achieve common goals - designing and producing innovative games. This aspect of the student experience is highly commended by London Met's games industry partner TIGA and the industry steering group, as it mimics professional practice.

London Met actively encourage students to engage in public competitions and gaming events such as Game Jams, and they hold an annual Summer Show where students at all levels have the opportunity to showcase their work to a wider professional audience.

An International Bright Futures Scholarship in the amount of £3,000 will automatically be applied to eligible students with overseas fee status starting a degree with London Met in the 2024/25 academic year. This scholarship includes a tuition fee reduction for the duration of students' studies and is applicable to both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

Tuition Deposit is £4,000 for all students excluding those from Punjab and Haryana for whom the deposit amount will remain at 50%
