The Sheridan College Chemical Laboratory Technician diploma provides excellent facilities with current technology and many opportunities for hands-on experience. Students will work directly with the same sophisticated instruments that are used in research and industry, while learning to apply the theories of the chemical sciences. The Chemical Lab Technician diploma program begins with a solid academic foundation with courses in organic and inorganic chemistry, calculus and advanced science. Once in the workforce, the duties of graduates may include: • Analyzing samples. • Preparing samples and solutions, making and purifying chemicals. • Technical sales for laboratory equipment and supplies.
