Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - Fashion Photography (Foundation Year) (W645)

This Fashion Photography (including foundation year) BA (Hons) is designed to help students build a portfolio of work and gain the necessary skills to begin an undergraduate degree.

It's the ideal choice if they'd like to study photography but don’t meet the necessary requirements for the three-year degree or would like to polish their skills before embarking on more rigorous study. On graduation students will be awarded the same title as students on the three-year degree.

London Met's film production and photography courses are third in the UK for teaching quality and fourth in the UK for student satisfaction in the Guardian University Guide 2023.

The foundation year (Year 0) will incorporate all the art, design, photography and architecture disciplines at the School of Art, Architecture and Design, so it will be shared with students studying other disciplines at the School. The shared curriculum will incorporate a range of short-term and long-term projects, during which they'll gain a range of practical skills such as observational drawing, creative drawing, conceptual modeling, practical making, performance, colour, collage, curating and exhibiting. These techniques and creative practices will be framed in historical, contemporary and cultural discourse, allowing students to engage intellectually and help them develop into informed and socially-engaged practitioners.

An International Bright Futures Scholarship in the amount of £3,000 will automatically be applied to eligible students with overseas fee status starting a degree with London Met in the 2024/25 academic year. This scholarship includes a tuition fee reduction for the duration of students' studies and is applicable to both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

Tuition Deposit is £4,000 for all students excluding those from Punjab and Haryana for whom the deposit amount will remain at 50%
