2-Semester Pathway - Pre-Master's Programme - Continue to Master of Science - International Project Management

The Level 6 Pre-Master’s Programme (PMP) is a two-semester programme, with guaranteed progression to a wide range of Master’s degrees at Loughborough University.

This Pre-Master’s Programme (PMP) is designed to prepare international students for postgraduate study in the United Kingdom. The PMP will allow them to improve their English while learning the study skills and research methods that they will need during their Master's degree studies. They will study academic modules relating to their chosen progression route. Each semester consists of thirteen teaching weeks, one reading week, and an assessment week. The weekly hours of study varies by semester with them on average studying around 18-21 (and up to 21) hours per week. Each module will have an assessment schedule, which will be completed by the end of the appropriate semester. Assessments will be designed to demonstrate learning across the individual modules of the programme and to allow them to experience a wide range of the assessment methods used in United Kingdom postgraduate programmes. Assessments will include coursework, essays, reports and other structured assignments, oral examination and unseen written examinations.

Master of Science - International Project Management: The Master of Science - International Project Management will provide students with the knowledge and the skills necessary for successfully managing international projects in various organisations that operate across borders and with a multinational workforce. They will learn international and project management theories, approaches, and methods, which they will also apply to concrete cases through innovative project-based modules that involve cases from real-life companies. They will learn how to plan, lead and manage international projects, through learning and exploring cutting edge research-led teaching by leading academics and experienced guest lecturers from industry. They will have the opportunity to network with both academics and professionals at various careers events and round table events.
