Situated in the world’s top academic city (QS Best Student Cities 2019), the College will prepare students for a university degree, and for a successful career. Study at one of the most respected international colleges in London, and progress to one of 8 universities, including the University of Bristol. The University of Bristol is a highly ranked Russell Group university with a fantastic reputation. Students will join a global community of students from more than 150 countries, and enjoy life in one of the UK’s most exciting cities. This course combines politics and international relations with the study of Italian. This provides a valuable skill set ideally tailored to the increasingly globalised workplace. Students will study the politics of individual countries and governments and the relationships between countries, communities and individuals.

Politics is organised around three themes: • political theory • comparative and national politics • international relations.

In Italian students will study a combination of language and culture units. Italian language and culture have had a lasting impact on Europe. Today, Italy's innovative contributions to design, technology and fashion mean that it is a major, global commercial force. Italy is both traditional and modern, a tension apparent throughout its history and culture. Students will spend their third year abroad, which will enable them to refine their language skills and cultural knowledge and gain valuable work experience. For further details on year abroad opportunities, please see Global Opportunities.

Bristol has an enviable record for its research both in politics and in Italian culture. Both schools encourage strong synergy between research and teaching resulting in a vibrant learning environment as staff respond in their teaching to new research. This course combination offers an enriching experience with exciting intellectual challenges.
