Foundation Program (091322F) + Diploma of Engineering (070423G)

Program Description The Foundation Program is designed for students that haven’t yet completed their high school education to Australian Year 12 standard, or equivalent. With small class sizes, teachers are able to provide a high level of personal attention, helping students develop the confidence and study structure for academic success.

The Foundation Program has been designed to prepare students for a diploma or degree in Arts, Education, Business, Commerce, Design, Engineering, Health, Hotel Management, Information Technology and Science. It’s structured to be completed over two trimesters (8 months), with English language, academic communication skills a central focus, along with computer skills and intercultural studies.

Once students complete course requirements for the Foundation Program, students can continue on into their diploma of choice.

The Diploma of Engineering will teach students the key skills and central concepts of engineering, before they progress to the bachelor degree to specialise in their choice of engineering major.

Additional learning support is provided throughout the diploma in the form of Essential Mathematics Modules, to ensure students have the knowledge and skills critical to succeed in engineering studies.

Students will learn from internationally-experienced lecturers with strong industry experience. This ensures they receive industry-relevant foundational knowledge, practical experience and problem-solving skills that employers are seeking, both now and in the future.
