2-Semester Pathway Pre-Masters - Science and Engineering - Transfer to Master of Science in Cancer Cell Biology

This program consists of a pathway program offered by StudyGroup at the International Study Centre at the University of Sussex followed by entry into a university program offered at the University of Sussex. In the International Year One programme, you will study courses related to your intended field of study alongside English to develop and enhance your skills as a student. Advancement into your intended program depends upon the successful completion of the pathway program.

The Pre-masters program in Science and Engineering will let you explore and begin to understand the power of science and engineering in the real world by studying relevant courses such as programming and systems control, mathematics for computing and engineering and data analysis and modelling. While you begin to learn the technical and applied aspects of science and engineering you also are provided with a critical outlook and approach employers want in your chosen field.

During the Master of Science in Cancer Cell Biology, learn from research scientists at the forefront of cancer research and cancer therapy design, based in the internationally-renowned Genome Damage and Stability Centre. You’ll benefit from the applied research expertise of the Centre’s teams.

Understand the molecular basis and cell biology of cancer and gain the skills required for a research career. You build your analytical and experimental experience and learn the necessary bioinformatics and experimental theory.

Many of our teams get funding from the Medical Research Council and Cancer Research UK – the world’s leading independent funder of cancer research. Sussex is also part of the Barts and Brighton Experimental Cancer Medicine Centre, developing anti-cancer treatments across the UK.
