This Law Conversion Course (PGDL) is the first step in their legal journey. A PGDL provides a pathway for individuals without law degrees to become solicitors or barristers and was introduced as a replacement or alternative to the GDL. The postgraduate Law Conversion Course develops students' legal knowledge, professional capabilities and problem-solving skills and is closely aligned to the foundational law elements of the SQE1 assessment. The University know how important it is to have live, face-to-face teaching so that’s why this course is taught via workshops to small groups of students. This provides an important social and collaborative learning environment as well as valuable interaction with the professionally experienced tutors, who use their expertise to bring their studies to life.
