University Pathways Fast Track at RMIT UP is an accelerated pathway designed for high-achieving international students, preparing them for university in half the time of a Foundation Studies course. Delivered over one semester by RMIT UP (CRICOS provider number: 01912G), a fully owned entity of RMIT University, the program equips students with the knowledge, skills and confidence needed for future academic success.
Located in the heart of Melbourne, RMIT UP’s specialist staff support students throughout their journey, while providing opportunities to build global and social networks that contribute to success at RMIT and beyond.
To ensure students get the best start to their studies, RMIT offers careers counselling, as well as academic and welfare support services that can be accessed flexibly.
University Pathways Fast Track features focused, discipline-based streams, allowing students to align their studies with their interests and goals. Available streams include STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), Art, Design and Architecture, Business, and Communication and Social Context.

Double Degree - Bachelor of Science - Biotechnology & Bachelor of Biomedical Science (BP293SBT25) (116912G) The RMIT Bachelor of Biomedical Science / Bachelor of Biotechnology double degree combines studies in biomedicine and biotechnology, providing students with a competitive advantage in the job market. The biomedical science component enables students to understand how the human body functions, including its responses to disease, exercise, diet, internal disturbances, and environmental influences.
The biotechnology component focuses on how techniques in molecular biology and genetics are applied to areas such as diagnosing genes linked to cancer and disease, designing proteins, improving the resilience of crops and livestock, and enhancing food safety.
Students complete foundational studies in areas including cell biology, anatomy, physiology, microbiology, immunology, and molecular biology, along with advanced subjects covering systemic diseases, genomics, designer proteins, and computational biology.
