Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) - Computer Networking and Cloud Security (Foundation Year) (H204)

London Metropolitan University's Computer Networking and Cloud Security (Foundation Year) BEng (Hons) degree has a built-in foundation year which will expose students to the importance of network security, the range of threats to network infrastructure, how these threats work, what vulnerabilities exist in the protocols, possible threats and mitigations to those attacks. Students will learn about the concepts of computer networking cloud security, developing their technical expertise and opening up career opportunities for them in the the computer networking and cyber security industry. In the foundation year, students will gain skills across a variety of subjects including cyber security, logic and problem solving, communications engineering, programming and mathematics. These key skills will ensure students are fully prepared for the following three years of their course. This course shares a foundation year with a number of other foundation year degrees at London Metropolitan University School of Computing and Digital Media, so the foundation year is a great opportunity to study with other students who are interested in a variety of different specialisms. An International Bright Futures Scholarship in the amount of £3,000 will automatically be applied to eligible students with overseas fee status starting a degree with London Met in the 2024/25 academic year. This scholarship includes a tuition fee reduction for the duration of students' studies and is applicable to both undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Tuition Deposit is £4,000 for all students excluding those from Punjab and Haryana for whom the deposit amount will remain at 50%
