Enhanced Extended Master of Science - International Business Management with Sustainability

The Extended Masters and Enhanced Extended Masters programmes at the University of West London are intended for students who already have an undergraduate degree but do not meet the entry requirements to study for a Masters degree. Over a full-time semester, students will study four modules specially designed to improve their academic and English language skills:

• Advanced Study Skills • Critical Thinking, Analysis and Evaluation • Statistics • English (Business English on the Enhanced course)

The Enhanced Extended Masters is similar to the Extended Masters, but with a greater focus on improving students’ English skills. It also includes a Business English module, which will allow students to gain a full understanding of this critical subject area.

Once completed, students will progress directly onto the core Masters course.

The MSc International Business Management with Sustainability at the University of West London builds on the popular IBM course with the addition of two sustainability-themed modules, allowing students to specialise in a rapidly growing area of global business.

The content of the course focuses on international business decisions and the underlying forces driving the process of internationalisation, as well as examining the complex environment in which international businesses operate.

Furthermore, the course will give students an understanding of key issues in leadership in a cross-cultural environment while exploring the application of sustainability principles.

Students will learn how to:

• examine the keys to a successful global strategy while applying sustainability principles • assess how to develop and maintain access to global markets considering the application of sustainability principles • take the lead on sustainability issues • manage global operations and finance with an entrepreneurial attitude

Additionally, the MSc IBM with Sustainability course will provide students with knowledge and skills of global business from a theoretical and practical perspective, allowing them to explore a range of career roles.
