The BSc (Hons) Civil Engineering degree provides a comprehensive and future-focused education for those interested in shaping the built environment, from infrastructure and transport systems to buildings and public spaces. An optional professional placement year is available between the second and third years of study, offering valuable experience within an engineering environment. Students are responsible for securing their placement, with support from the university’s careers services and employer networks. Those who successfully obtain a placement can transfer to the placement version of the course.
