Bachelor of Medical Radiation - Nuclear Medicine (BP321NMP25) (117343E) The RMIT Bachelor of Medical Radiation Practice prepares students for a rapidly advancing healthcare field involving the use of ionising and non-ionising radiation for the diagnosis and treatment of injury and disease. The program develops highly skilled, patient-centred practitioners who deliver diagnostic imaging, radiation therapy, functional imaging, and supportive care within the community.
Medical radiation practitioners are allied health professionals with specialised expertise in applying radiation technologies across a range of clinical settings. The field includes three distinct divisions of practice, each with different roles and responsibilities: medical imaging, nuclear medicine, and radiation therapy, with RMIT being the only Victorian university to offer nuclear medicine.
Students enrol directly into one of these three specialised streams, selecting the pathway that best aligns with their career goals in medical radiations.
