Double Degree - Bachelor of Arts - Dramatic Arts & Bachelor of Business Administration - Accounting (Optional Co-op)

With a combined Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Management (B.A./B.Mgt.) degree, the student can explore a multitude of interests and careers. For example, if the student is interested in managing an art gallery, they can major in art and general management. If sports marketing ignites their passion, they can major in kinesiology and marketing. The Combined B.A./B.Mgt. degree program takes five years (50 courses) to complete and leads to the conferral of two degrees. Accountants are central to the operations and strategies of all types of organizations. They require integrity and the ability to think critically, communicate and interact with others effectively. Accounting is the foundation of organizational short and long-term success. It involves measuring, analyzing and reporting on factors that affect organizational performance, resources and risk.

Accounting students gain technical skills and learn how to address a broad range of business problems. Students acquire and practice the skills needed for success, including writing and presenting, using professional tools and case analyses. Students study financial reporting, individual and corporate taxation, business analytics and information systems, auditing, management control systems and costing, as well as variety of other management disciplines.

This rigorous program of hands-on theatre experiences will enable students to refine their artistic techniques and develop creativity, confidence, and discipline that will serve them for a lifetime. Courses in theatre history and theory provide a comprehensive understanding of drama’s essential role in society.

This program allows students to focus their attention on performance and technical/design courses, understand and appreciate dramatic arts from around the world and immerse themselves in the study of culture and creativity. Students can compliment their studies with courses from art, humanities, sciences and social sciences

Students can participate in a dynamic season of theatre activities, including Mainstage productions supervised by professors, the student-run TheatreXtra series, and an array of practical workshops, play readings, public forums, and special events.
