2-Term Pre-Master's for Science and Engineering - Continue to Master of Science - Civil Engineering Structures

Program Description For students who hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, but don’t meet the entry requirements for a master’s, a Pre-Master’s can help them gain a place on a postgraduate degree. For progression to the 1st year of a postgraduate degree at City, University of London. The course length is determined mainly by English language level (UKVI IELTS score).

Students on all course lengths take a set of common or similar modules to gain a solid base of skills for university. If the course is longer than 2 terms, students will take additional modules designed to improve one or more of their English language level, academic skills, and basic knowledge of particular subjects.

Master of Science - Civil Engineering Structures

From analysing how carbon nanofibers can reduce the effect of corrosion in concrete to gaining insight from experts developing the new Forth Bridge, this MSc in Civil Engineering Structures has been designed to be broad in scope so students can develop their own area of structural engineering expertise.

As a department, they have broad interests from defining new structural forms to practical application of new materials. They believe civil engineering is a creative and collaborative profession, as much as a technical one. This course gives students the tools to immerse themselves in both the analytical and experimental side of the subject, so they can investigate diverse problems to generate their own structural solutions.
