Bachelor of Laws (Honours) - Law (M100)

The Law LLB (Hons) degree at Loughborough University provides students with essential legal knowledge and skills, as well as the opportunity to focus on areas of personal interest and to engage in critical thinking about the role of law in society.

Recognised as a key social institution, law influences how individuals act and think, and is shaped by changes in society, technology, and the environment. An understanding of the dynamic nature of law will prepare students for future careers in a rapidly evolving world. Exploring the relationships between law, power, and justice will enable graduates to pursue reflective careers and contribute to the creation of better futures.

Students become part of a vibrant, supportive community on the Loughborough campus, where social justice is central. They are taught by internationally recognised experts at the forefront of legal research and education. As part of the degree programme, students have opportunities to apply their knowledge in practice, build experience and confidence, and gain insights into potential graduate pathways through a year-long external placement and/or pro bono work with relevant organisations.

Graduates of the programme are well equipped for diverse career paths, including legal practice; the public sector; policy and administration; journalism and communications; business and finance; national, international, and transnational third sector organisations; entrepreneurship; research; and higher education.
