Science - Computer Science - Integrated Entry - International Year One (UTP Stage II) (Optional Co-op)

Program Description The Faculty of Science at Wilfrid Laurier University offers a wide variety of undergraduate programs across seven academic departments and are home to several leading-edge research centres. Science faculty members are engaged in high-quality research, the advancement of scientific knowledge and the application of that knowledge to real-world problems. They bring their expertise and enthusiasm for research into the classroom. Many undergraduate students find opportunities to enrich their learning through involvement in Laurier research projects or through co-op work experience. From applied cryptography to mobile computing, Computer Science will help students develop strong algorithm analysis and design skills in procedural, object-oriented and low-level languages. The Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science program provides the hands-on experience that is key to understanding computing fundamentals with an optional introduction to functional, parallel and logical paradigms.

During the UTP Stage II: Science - Computer Science program students will take courses that introduce them to a wide range of disciplines. They will transfer into the Bachelor of Science program in the Faculty of Science at Wilfrid Laurier University upon successful completion of the UTP Stage II: Science - Computer Science program.
