Integrated Foundation - Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Biochemistry and Biotechnology

UEL's BSc Biochemistry and Biotechnology course introduces students to one of the most rapidly evolving fields of science. UEL is one of the few UK universities offering biotechnology as part of a named BSc biochemistry degree. The bachelor's degree in biochemistry prepares students to work with companies producing and promoting modern biological products, aiming to solve global human problems. UEL offers competitive work placements to develop students skills, gain insight into biochemistry roles and improve their employability after graduation.

• develop skills in planning and conducting experiments, solving scientific problems in a research environment, preparing for a career in bioscience • receive training in modern laboratory techniques, from genetic engineering to molecular bioengineering • work with actual scientists involved in biotech research, including insights into new discoveries and innovations • learn about the intricate workings of biotechnology and biochemistry within medicine and industry, developing a robust understanding of theory and practical application.

All of these practical experiences will prepare students for a career in biochemistry, biotechnology or the wider science sector.
