Doctor of Construction Management and Economics (9006)

Doctor of Construction Management and Economics program is delivered through specialist centres. Most academic staff are affiliated with one or more of these centres, and research students are expected to join small teams working on specific problems.

Within Construction, Property and Surveying, supervision is offered across a wide range of research areas and themes. These include construction and project management; strategic management of property, facilities, and built assets; the economics of construction, property, and housing; planning of the built environment; building information modelling and IT in construction; management of people, risk, safety, and value; innovation, knowledge, and intangible assets; procurement and contracts; supply chains and networks; strategic IT in construction; data management and its impact; modern methods of construction; housing and property investment; sustainable development; urban resilience; ageing in built and human environments; green construction; energy and resource efficiency; monitoring energy demands; energy assessment, measurement, and building performance; renewable energy in cities, communities, and districts; and disaster resilience.
