2-Semester Pathway - International Foundation Year - Science and Engineering - Transfer to Master of Physics (Honours) - Theoretical Physics

Program Description This program consists of a pathway program offered by StudyGroup at the International Study Centre at the University of Sussex followed by entry into a university program offered at the University of Sussex. In your International Foundation Year, you will study courses related to your intended field of study alongside English to develop and enhance your skills as a student. Advancement into your intended program depends upon the successful completion of the pathway program.

In the International Foundation Year in Sciences & Engineering, you will explore and begin to understand the power of engineering and science in the real world. While you begin to learn the technical aspects of your desired degree program you will also be provided with a critical outlook and approach employers want in your chosen field.

If you want to study fundamental physics and its underlying mathematical principles, this Master of Physics in Theoretical Physics course is for you.

You’ll learn from experts involved in international research projects into theoretical physics. Modules cover topics such as astrophysics, quantum information and atomic physics. You also gain in-depth knowledge of mathematics and computing. You'll have opportunities to work alongside our world-leading faculty on ground-breaking discoveries. This is through your final year project and various research placement opportunities. In your integrated Masters year you will develop advanced physical skills by working with one of our departmental research groups.
