Education changes people’s lives. It plays a central role in our society and incorporates themes of social justice, equality and human rights. On our Education BA(Hons) you will gain an in-depth understanding of educational ideas and undertake placement-based research into their practical application. An enthusiastic and highly qualified tutor team will support your development as a critical, independent thinker on a well-established programme that enables you to tailor your learning to your own areas of interest. In doing so you’ll be encouraged to explore new ideas, perspectives and world views extending beyond teaching and learning.

Drawing on psychology, sociology, philosophy, history and social policy the course is an excellent preparation for a wide range of career pathways as well as postgraduate study. If you are interested in a teaching career, successful completion of this course will guarantee you an interview on one of our PGCEs.
