This is an introduction to the world of business, as well as a pathway for students who may not meet the direct entry requirements to La Trobe University bachelor degree courses.

Students will develop important study skills as well as an understanding of accounting, economics, management, marketing and business analytics. Upon successful completion students will be eligible to enter year two of the specified La Trobe University undergraduate degree programs. With small class sizes and a supportive and friendly environment, La Trobe University, Sydney campus will help students make the smooth transition to university life and support students throughout their studies. Students who complete this Diploma program will transfer into the Bachelor of Business. Students will develop solid foundations in modern business with La Trobe's Bachelor of Business. They will prepare to thrive in a digitally disrupted world with this highly flexible degree and start building a dream career in business.

Students will explore multiple business disciplines in the first year and develop foundational knowledge and enterprise skills in areas such as management, organisational structures, data analytics and ethical business practices.

Students will choose from a wide range of majors, minors and optional second majors. They can also pair their major with complementary study from another discipline.

No matter how students specialise, they'll get hands-on experience and learn the latest digital skills while developing essential leadership, communication and critical-thinking skills.

Students will develop professional business skills as they work in diverse teams, present business strategies and use the software that's essential in modern business.
