2-Semester Pathway - Pre-Master's Programme - Continue to Master of Science - Digital Finance

The Level 6 Pre-Master’s Programme (PMP) is a two-semester programme, with guaranteed progression to a wide range of Master’s degrees at Loughborough University.

This Pre-Master’s Programme (PMP) is designed to prepare international students for postgraduate study in the United Kingdom. The PMP will allow them to improve their English while learning the study skills and research methods that they will need during their Master's degree studies. They will study academic modules relating to their chosen progression route. Each semester consists of thirteen teaching weeks, one reading week, and an assessment week. The weekly hours of study varies by semester with them on average studying around 18-21 (and up to 21) hours per week. Each module will have an assessment schedule, which will be completed by the end of the appropriate semester. Assessments will be designed to demonstrate learning across the individual modules of the programme and to allow them to experience a wide range of the assessment methods used in United Kingdom postgraduate programmes. Assessments will include coursework, essays, reports and other structured assignments, oral examination and unseen written examinations.

Master of Science - Digital Finance: The Master of Science - Digital Finance programme is aimed at providing students with a comprehensive understanding of finance in the digital age and developing their skills to address associated challenges with the use of digital technologies in FinTech and related domains in the most effective way. The programme combines finance rationales with complementary digital technologies to provide them with a unique academic experience. Important financial themes, methods and principles are combined with the latest teaching on data analytics, Internet of Things, cloud systems, cyber security, and other emerging digital technologies and trends. They will use their knowledge of digital technologies in various elements of digital economy to create successful financial strategies incorporating associated cyber security and financial risk management methods.
