The IIM in Law prepares students well for the flexible Dundee LLM where they can specialize in areas that interest them. The wide choice of law topics offered for study allows students to develop existing areas of specialism or expand their knowledge into new law areas that they have not studied or practiced in before. Students will learn about jurisdiction, choice of law, and the effects of foreign judgements in two countries and specialize in commercial or family law aspects of private international law. Students will spend their first semester in Dundee before completing their studies in the historic city of Toulouse. Students start in January and complete their dissertation with supervision from Dundee's academics over the summer months. Students then go on to the University of Toulouse in September. Successful candidates graduate with the Dundee LLM and the Master 2 degree from Toulouse.
