The MEng degree is designed for students who wish to study one or more fields of geomatics engineering at an advanced level, gaining exposure to new geospatial technologies and a variety of application domains such as Remote Sensing and Computer Vision, Spatial Data Sciences, Geodesy and Positioning, and Hydrospatial Engineering. The course-based MEng program consists of 30 credit hours of coursework, selected in consultation with the Director of Graduate Studies. The degree is intended to be completed in three or four academic terms, depending on the student’s background. Co-op work terms are also encouraged. Study one or more areas of electrical engineering at an advanced level without doing a research program. No faculty supervisor is required for this degree, nor is any research funding available for students. The degree can be done without a thesis or project by completing 30 credit hours of approved course content. It can include a project done under faculty supervision which includes a substantial written report. This option is only available, if after enrolling at UNB, a faculty supervisor is available to oversee a suitable project.
