Program Highlights: • Optional co-op stream, includes two paid co-op work terms • Main subject areas: Architectural, Structural, Building Code, Mechanical, Electrical, and Construction Management • Each year challenges students with hands-on learning to design and model real world projects and solutions • Major Capstone Project in 3rd year has students working in a team to bring a large project from design concept through to final construction documents • Field trips to construction sites and product manufacturers, as well as guest lecturers are brought in to support students' practical learning • Annual Networking Event allows students to connect with local construction companies and industry professionals Professional Membership/Certification Opportunities • Meets the education requirements for certification with the Ontario Building Officials Association (OBOA) • Meets the education requirements for certification with the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT) • Provides credits towards achieving Gold Seal Certification in Construction Management administered by the Canadian Construction Association.
