This degree program prepares the student for employment in the automotive industry.

Graduates of the program achieve competencies set forth by the ASE Education Foundation and obtained related education in the fields of leadership, human relations and communication.

Credit for hours of training is usually granted to those entering into an approved apprenticeship program and is granted for the certification experience requirement.

Students who successfully complete this program will be able to: • Demonstrate safe shop practice and hazardous material handling. • Diagnose and repair automotive electrical systems to ASE Standards • Diagnose and repair automotive emissions and engine performance standards to ASE Standards. • Diagnose and repair automotive engines to ASE Standards • Diagnose and repair automotive automatic and manual transmission/transaxle systems to ASE Standards. • Diagnose and repair automotive steering and suspension systems to ASE Standards. • Diagnose and repair automotive brake systems to ASE Standards. • Diagnose and repair automotive air condition and heating systems to ASE Standards.
