Humber’s Personal Support Worker certificate program gives students the skills they need for an in-demand career. Personal support workers play an especially important role in supporting the health-care team in long-term care, hospitals, home care and community health-care organizations. They contribute to the overall well-being and quality of life of their clients.

Students will learn to safely assist with personal care, mobility, in some cases household management, and emotional support for individuals across the lifespan. Additionally, students will learn to recognize the physical and emotional changes of aging and illness while supporting clients to maximize their independence.
