2- Term Undergraduate Foundation Programme - Engineering and Physical Sciences - Continue to - Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) - Electrical and Electronic Engineering

The Undergraduate Foundation Program in Engineering and Physical Science program is designed to prepare international students, who have completed senior secondary education, for entry to a wide range of undergraduate studies at the University of Central Lancashire.

The Foundation portion of this program lasts one academic year (nine months). The year is divided into three terms of seven to eight teaching weeks and one examination week. On average, students will undertake 21 (and up to 25) hours of classroom-based study per week.

There are four academic pathways to choose from and candidates will study the pathway most suited to their chosen progression degree. Academic skills relevant to the specific subject area will be taught to fully prepare them for university study. The pathways are: Business, Economics, Finance and Management, Engineering and Physical Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences and Life Sciences.

The practical modules on this course are based around the building skills needed within industry, such as problem-solving in an engineering context, project management and communications skills.

The students will also be given opportunities to explore specialist areas in our dedicated laboratories, which are filled with modern test and measurement equipment as well as more specialist equipment for power electronics and robotics.
