University Pathways Fast Track at RMIT UP is an accelerated pathway designed for high-achieving international students, preparing them for university in half the time of a Foundation Studies course. Delivered over one semester by RMIT UP (CRICOS provider number: 01912G), a fully owned entity of RMIT University, the program equips students with the knowledge, skills and confidence needed for future academic success.

Located in the heart of Melbourne, RMIT UP’s specialist staff support students throughout their journey, while providing opportunities to build global and social networks that contribute to success at RMIT and beyond.

To ensure students get the best start to their studies, RMIT offers careers counselling, as well as academic and welfare support services that can be accessed flexibly.

University Pathways Fast Track features focused, discipline-based streams, allowing students to align their studies with their interests and goals. Available streams include STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), Art, Design and Architecture, Business, and Communication and Social Context.

Bachelor of Engineering - Environmental Engineering (Honours) (BH080P23) (110998M) The RMIT Bachelor of Engineering (Environmental Engineering) (Honours) prepares students to specialise in engineering fields critical to addressing global environmental challenges. The program focuses on areas such as land contamination and rehabilitation, energy, hydrogeology, wastewater treatment, and sustainable cities.

Throughout the degree, students develop engineering concepts and technical skills to preserve the environment, minimise water, soil, and air pollution, assess the environmental impact of projects, develop remediation strategies, and deliver sustainable engineering solutions.

Elective subjects, including the Humanitarian Experiential Learning Project, provide opportunities to gain a global perspective on environmental challenges and the role engineers play in addressing them. Graduates are equipped to conserve water resources, supply safe drinking water, rehabilitate contaminated land and groundwater, design sustainable waste management systems, reduce environmental impacts in communities, and prepare environmental impact assessments for major projects.

The program includes work-integrated learning opportunities that build real-world experience and industry connections. Students also engage in design-and-build projects and participate in initiatives such as the Engineers Without Borders Challenge, fostering practical skills and innovative thinking.
