The MSc Applied Instrument and Control has been developed in collaboration with industry professionals and is accredited by the Institute of Measurement and Control (InstMC). The course combines the latest developments in the field with industry knowledge and practical expertise.
The course uses relevant case studies with real-world applications, enabling students to develop practical knowledge and skills that can be applied in the workplace from the beginning of their careers.
The master's degree is accredited by the Institute of Measurement and Control (InstMC) and the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) on behalf of the Engineering Council. It meets the further learning requirements for registration as a Chartered Engineer (CEng). Students must hold a CEng-accredited BEng/BSc (Hons) undergraduate degree, in addition to the MSc, to meet the full CEng registration requirements.
Students will:
Develop a strong foundation in measurement science and control theory. Gain practical experience in data acquisition and instrument networking. Study systems analysis for prognostics and system health management. Explore fault detection and control system design.
